Birth number and destiny number
The birth number describes your natural temperament, while the destiny number, calculated from the full date, describes the direction of life and the lessons it brings. When both are 9, the qualities of Mars are especially strong. Name numbers, calculated from the letters of your name, are used to bring the vibration of your name into harmony with these two numbers.
Birth number, destiny number and name number
Indian numerology uses three main numbers. The birth (psychic) number is the day of birth reduced to one digit. The destiny (life path) number is the full date of birth reduced to one digit. The name number comes from the letters of your name, usually by the Chaldean system. Each number is linked to a planet, which is how numerology connects to astrology.
